NEW YEAR’S EVE FAMILY CARNIVAL AT MARINA BARRAGE

A fun-filled carnival awaits you and your family at the latest downtown
icon, Marina Barrage. Enjoy free performances on the Green Roof and
water activities at Singapore's first reservoir in the city. For the first time
ever, catch a stunning view of the fireworks display against the city
skyline from the barrage.The public is encouraged to take the free shuttle
bus available from Marina Bay MRT Station. Charges for the carnival
stores and rides apply. This event is organised by PUB, the national
water agency, as part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown.

The Marina Bay SINGAPORE Countdown 08/09 taking place at the symbolic centre of Singapore will become more than a celebration- but an annual tradition for Singapore, including fellow Singaporeans and friends residing overseas as the event is broadcast LIVE on Channel News Asia. This year-end event will bring together the collective wishes and aspirations of thousands of people on 10,000 wishing spheres afloat in Marina Bay.

At the stroke of midnight, a breathtaking display of fireworks will usher in 2009 in a powerful and poignant celebration, and unite all in celebrating the beginning of a new year full of hopes, challenges, changes and dreams.
