Creative Suite 5 applications crash on launch with error related to module "updaternotifications.dll" (Windows)

This solution will need to be performed for all CS5 applications affected. Each application will have it's own instance of the updaternotifications.dll file to be modified.

1.      Download the updated version of the updaternotifications.dll. For 64-bit systems, download both versions of the DLL:
32-bit Version
64-bit Version
